The goal for the redesign of this 2 bedroom, 2 bath high-rise condominium was to increase it's value in such a way that the future owner would select this apartment over others based on the unit's layout and finishes.
Many of the existing partitions were either removed or relocated - allowing some rooms to become spaces - while others were kept intact and private. Walls separating the kitchen from adjacent spaces were the first to go, allowing that space to play a larger role in this apartment's overall character.
Finishes were changed markedly as well. Solid oak flooring and slate tile replace wall to wall carpet and vinyl sheet, and a granite countertop caps new, natural maple cabinets to create an elegant space to cook or converse. Stainless steel and glass appliances accent the new kitchen island. The once-neglected foyer receives added emphasis through the introduction of new cabinetry and much-needed increased width. Each bathroom has been given a full make-over as well, receiving new fixtures and large, intricately-textured fossil stone tile accents.
