Designed as an addition to a contemporary split-level house, this 625 SF family room project took advantage of a slight change in grade and the gently sloping roof of the original house to create a light-filled, double-height family room. Floor to ceiling windowwalls on the east and south facades create a strong connection to the outdoors while clerestory windows and a generous eave on the west facade shield the addition from western sunlight and neighbors.
