Although this Dutch Colonial has excellent west-facing views towards parkland and a lower level pool, the interior of the house was characterized by small, confining rooms that did not take advantage of the site's full potential.
Our solution was to open up the interior of the house in order to rearrange selected room functions. Removing interior and exterior walls allowed for larger, more contiguous spaces that took better advantage of natural light and existing views. A small, heavily-glazed addition and a cantilevered deck were provided as well, allowing enhanced interaction between the interior and exterior of the house on all levels.
